A Case of Solitary Plasma Cell Myeloma in Mandible

Abstract

|
|
A Case of solitary plasma cell myeloma in mandible of 55 year-old Korean female was reported. The patient complained of painful swelling on left mandibular body region followed by facial asymmetry. The final diagnosis was determined by comprehensive evaluation of 1) clinical features of hard swelling, tenderness and mild paresthesia on complained region, 2) radiographic features of not-well demarcated osteolytic multilocular soap-bubble appearance on left mandibular body region, and 3) histopathologic features of dense infiltration of round or ovoid cells characterized by hyperchromatic, eccentric nuclei, basophilic cytoplasm and nuclear chromatin clumping in a cart-wheel pattern in part.
